I wanted this power strip because so many small items such as shavers, etc. have to be plugged into a standard USB port to charge. I chose this one because it doesn't plug directly into a wall and instead has a nice long cord and a slim, flat plug that will fit behind a dresser or a bed, for example. It has three 3-prong plug-ins, two standard USB ports and a smaller USB port. It does require a 3-prong outlet which is sometimes an issue in older homes, but not really an issue with this strip because of its long reach. It is a thoughtfully designed and functional staple for any home.
Haven’t cable “managed” just yet and I buy little plugs like this all the time as our world becomes more and more electronic. But I have to say, leaving the room outlet looking like this, is a dream come true. It can become quite cumbersome and ugly as everyone knows!
I recommend this plug for that feature alone!
I had power strip that was nearly full with USB chargers and plugs for my aquarium, and this extension cord allows me to drop three of those USB chargers and plug everything else into a single cord.
The two USB-A ports are rated at 2.4A each, which is nice, although the USB-C port is only rated at 3A, so no fast charging here. Still, it's nice to have so many USB power outlets on something like this.
The design allows multiple bulky "wall wart" style AC adapters to still fit in a compact space, and the flat head design allows it to plug in easily behind my desk as well. I like it!
The TV wall mount was put right over the outlet. With the soundbar mounted to the TV and there needing to be 2 plugs in the outlet one would've force the TV to be away from the wall and still risk smashing the plug. With this low profile power strip the TV is able to be pushed all the way in. I still need to get a command strip or zip ties to keep it in place.
Had an outlet behind my bed. The normal plug does work, but the bed then had an awkward gap to the wall where things could fall down. Swapped to this extension cord and it solved the problem! Only thing is some of the outlets are very tight - needed a bit of force to plug cords in or pull them out. Not a deal breaker for my use since I have it exclusively for my room light (which is always going to stay plugged in), but I’d be cautious especially for someone who may have dexterity issues.
